TRC20
The token standard for fungible tokens on the TRON blockchain — the TRON equivalent of Ethereum's ERC-20. USDT on TRON is a TRC20 token.
TRC20 defines how fungible tokens behave on TRON: how they're transferred, how balances are tracked, and how contracts interact with them. Any wallet or service that supports TRC20 can hold and send these tokens.
The most widely used TRC20 token is USDT (Tether). Because every TRC20 transfer runs the token's smart contract, it needs Energy — which is why sending USDT on TRON has a resource cost that a plain TRX transfer doesn't.
