TRON Resource Model
TRON's design of paying for transactions with two resources — Energy and Bandwidth — instead of a single gas fee like Ethereum.
Rather than one gas price, TRON splits transaction cost into Bandwidth (byte-size) and Energy (contract execution). Each account gets free daily Bandwidth, and Energy comes from staking or renting.
This model is why TRON can be so cheap: a plain transfer often costs nothing thanks to free Bandwidth, and even contract-heavy USDT sends are inexpensive once Energy is covered. It also means 'gas' on TRON isn't a single number — it depends on which resource a transaction uses.
