Burning TRX

When a wallet lacks Energy, TRON destroys ('burns') some of its TRX to pay for a transaction. It's the expensive default that renting Energy avoids.

If a USDT transfer needs Energy your wallet doesn't have, the network doesn't reject it — it burns your TRX at the current Energy price to cover the cost. That burned TRX is gone for good.

At current rates that's roughly 6.5 TRX for a standard transfer and about 13 TRX for a first send to a brand-new address. Renting the exact Energy instead is up to 70% cheaper, which is the whole reason Energy rental exists.

Need Energy for a USDT transfer? Rent exactly what you need — up to 70% cheaper than burning TRX, delivered in ~10–15 seconds.
